Being stuck in an elevator, never sounded more tempting.

Summary

Agreeing to go to a wedding with a guy she gets stuck with in an elevator is something Alexa Monroe wouldn’t normally do. She’s definitely not the spontaneous type. But there’s something about Drew Nichols that’s too hard to resist.
Drew has never found it hard to meet women—or to know just when to leave them. But now, on the eve of his ex’s wedding festivities, he’s minus a plus-one…until a power outage strands him with the perfect candidate for a fake girlfriend.
From the best man’s toast to the bouquet toss, Alexa and Drew have more fun than they ever thought possible. But before they know it, Drew has to fly back to Los Angeles and his job as a pediatric surgeon, and Alexa heads home to Berkeley, where she’s the mayor’s chief of staff—and neither of them can stop thinking about the other. They’re just two high-powered professionals on a collision course toward the long-distance-dating disaster of the century—or closing the gap between what they think they need and what they truly want…

My Opinion

This was the first time I’ve read a book written by Jasmine Guillory, and I’m definitely NOT disappointed!
The story by itself was already magic enough for me to speed through the book, but together with Guillory‘s original and exquisite manner of writing, it was a book that was nothing but pure perfection.
After only chapter 1, being stuck in an elevator never sounded more tempting. Of course, only if it would be granted that it would be with someone as hot as Chuck Bass ;).

Guillory writes with a subtle undertone, marking different aspects in our modern day life handling with different races and with different body types.
Together with a plate of fancy cheese and crackers and a bottle of champagne, the Wedding Date is THE perfect summer read. Plus, this book is very sexy and the blush that it gives you, would stay perfectly hidden underneath your sunburn, ;).

I would absolutely recommend this book to everyone I know, and I can not wait anymore to read the other books that Jasmine has published yet, plus those who are yet to come.
